1. I can no longer attend my PGSS Leisure course
A: As the course instructors' pay is indexed by how many students participate we ask students to notify us as soon as possible by emailing email@example.com. The refund available is as follows:
Withdrawals 24hrs or more from the last day of registration: full cash/cheque refund will be issued.
Withdrawals 24hrs or more before the FIRST class: full credit will be issued for upcoming courses or events at PGSS.
Withdrawals 24hrs or more before the SECOND class: pro-rated credits will be issued for upcoming courses or events at PGSS (subtracting the value of the first class).
Withdrawals after the SECOND class: NO REFUNDS.
If you have selected "pay-in-person" you will be responsible for payment of the course.
2. The course level is too difficult/easy for me
Please let us know as soon as possible, as long as we've been notified before the 2nd class and there is space we'll be happy to transfer you to a more appropriate level. Let us know If you would like to speak to the course instructors if you have read the course descriptions and are still unsure of what level to sign up for.
3. I was hoping to find a course in ________ but it's not offered
We always try and accommodate students' needs and interests. If you are interested in teaching, or participating in a new type of class please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will explore the possibility of offering the course the following session.
4. I selected "pay in person" where and when do I need to pay?
Please visit the PGSS office, in room 401 of the Thomson House, we can accept cash, cheque, or credit card during office hours (*no debit payments in office), 9:30-5 Monday to Friday. To ensure class time is used efficiency payments are not to be made during scheduled class time to the instructors.
5. Where are the classes offered?
You should receive an automatic email with the class dates and room number of your course, but all classes are held in the Thomson House, located at 3650 McTavish, Montreal H3A 1Y2.
6. Can my spouse or friend participate in the course with me?
PGSS leisure courses are open to all PGSS members (including associate members). Spousal memberships can be purchased for $5 (common law partners also included). At this time non-PGSS members/members of the public can not register for the PGSS leisure courses, please see the PGSS online handbook for more listings of public language courses .
7. Course Cancellations
If there are not enough participants to run a course unfortunately the course will have to be cancelled until the next session, participants will be notified by email and given a full refund, or can choose to switch to another course that session.
8. When will the next session be?
Keep an eye on the Newswire, website and Facebook as we will send notifications when registration opens, in general PGSS offers a spring session (registration opens in march for classes running from April to June), Summer intensive session (registration in June for July classes), Fall session (Registration in August for September to November classes), and a Winter session (December registration for January to April classes).
9. I can't see my course information anymore?
Once a course registration period has closed the course will be removed from the course listing on the website, please refer to your confirmation email for your class dates and location, if you can not find this information please contact email@example.com
10. Course Feedback
All participants will be invited to complete a course evaluation survey, but all questions and comments are welcome at any time, just email firstname.lastname@example.org.
11. Course Materials
Photocopied work books are included in the course price for all language related courses, so there are no expensive textbooks to purchase. For the dance and yoga courses comfortable flexible clothing is recommended. There will be some extra mats available if you do not have your own yoga mat, comfortable shoes are recommended for salsa, and you will be dancing in bare feet or socks for modern dance.
