Innovation Competition: AI & Emerging Tech Challenge Open to all currently enrolled graduate students at McGill, this two-round competition invites you to propose an innovative way to apply AI or emerging technologies in your discipline, or to solve a real-world problem you observe in daily life. For example, "soft problems" related to community well-being, accessibility, equity, sustainability, and social good. Top 5 proposals will be invited to pitch at Thomson House on April 2, with prizes for the top three finalists ($300 / $200 / $100).

Roots in Resistance (SOLD OUT)
Roots of Resistance is an immersive, land-based learning experience in which McGill graduate students will visit Kahnawà:ke (an Indigenous community) to reflect on how we can reduce harm in our academic, research, and professional practices. The day includes guided discussions, hands-on medicine bag making, and meaningful dialogue grounded in community knowledge rather than traditional classroom models. Lunch, coffee, and treats will be provided; round-trip transportation by bus is included, and there will be entry prizes and gifts for participants. Join us for an engaging, interactive experience rooted in relationship, reflection, and resistance.

Harm Reduction and Naloxone Training – Free Workshop
Harm Reduction & Naloxone Training Workshop The ongoing overdose crisis, along with the deep-rooted inequalities and harms caused by the criminalization and stigmatization of drug use, highlight some of the most urgent challenges facing our society today. In the face of such realities, it's only natural to ask: How can I help? In collaboration with Medical Students' Society Addiction and Harm Reduction Interest Group and McGill Student Emergency Response Team, this workshop offers knowledge and hands-on training in harm reduction tools and techniques, including naloxone and CPR.
