Menstrual equity

This will be an interactive, conversation-style event focused on menstrual equity. Joined by Monthly Dignity, the event will begin with a 15-minute icebreaker using discussion cards about menstruation and related topics, followed by a clear overview of menstruation, its phases, and how cycles can change over time. The session will cover factors that affect cycles and symptoms, signs that warrant medical care, and an in-depth discussion of menstrual pain and common disorders, including endometriosis and PCOS. We will also discuss symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options. The event will wrap up with an open, supportive discussion on practical steps, strategies, and additional resources for accessing care and advocating for yourself. Free reusable menstrual products will also be provided.

The PGSS invites you to participate in a Special General Meeting (GM) and PGSS Town Hall, taking place in the Thomson House Ballroom and on Zoom from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. This Town Hall will be member-driven, providing an opportunity for open and honest discussion between members and the PGSS. It is the perfect occasion to share your concerns, perspectives, and ideas—whether about funding, governance, or your academic and non-academic life. We aim to strengthen the PGSS, and achieving this requires active participation in shaping its direction. The PGSS Town Hall is intended as a democratic forum for open discussion.
